Mission Statement

The mission of the Madhya Pradesh  Economic Offences Wing is to serve and protect the citizens of our state and country from the economic offenders and to investigate certain special White Collar crimes against society, for which the regular police is not fully equipped or trained e.g. Economic Offences, frauds involving large amounts of public fund, concealment of wealth by public servants, evasion of Government taxes and dues, etc. and to facilitate the forfeiture of assets from those engaging in economic crimes.

1. This office will secure an effective administration of the economic criminal laws of our country and state by investigating economic crimes, identifying suspects,
apprehending criminals and preparing evidence for the court system.

2. The office will execute its duties which consist of serving court summons,
warrants, writs, and civil processes.

3. This office will protect the rights and dignity of all persons imprisoned.

4. This office will stand against those who choose lawlessness and wrongdoing
instead of righteousness and freedom under the rule of law with special reference
to economic offenders.

5. Strives to identify, notify and involve victims and ensure they can exercise their
right to be part of the investigative process and to provide them with referral
information, and assist them with the recovery of their victimization.

6. Our goal is to carry out our duties in an effective, efficient, empathetic and culturally competent manner.

7. Bureau is dedicated to promote Community awareness of Economic Crimes and
corporate abuses and make the civil recovery services available to crime victims through outreach, education and public services events.

8. Substantial involvement of public interest to be judged by size, either in terms of
monetary misappropriation or in terms of persons affected.

9. The possibility of investigation leading to or contributing towards a clear improvement in systems, laws and procedures.
